CLONEGENE

Clonegene  generates antibodies that selectively recognize  proteins  that are aberantly expressed in human tumors and thus can be  used in the cellular diagnosis and therapy of cancer.  For example, knowledge that a significant number of tumor cells harbor particular mutations prompts the physician to treat the cancer with a therapeutic antibodies or small molecules that selectively inactivate  the  pathways perturbed by the mutant protein.

By using a proprietary algorithm to design peptide antigens, our antibodies are very high affinity and are excellent reagents for the detection of proteins in archival formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections. The  current catalogue features antibodies that have been used in published studies to identify  biomarkers in SCLC, NSCLC, and  Breast  cancers. The antibodies  currently in production are specifically directed against the mutant peptides found by the recent next generation DNA sequence studies.

Importantly, our antibodies have  also proven useful for  many other life science utilities including western blotting, immunoprecipitation, CHIP genomic analysis and RNA immunoprecipitation (CLIP).
