The monoclonal antibody 11F4 recognizes mouse CD119 also known as IFN gamma receptor1. CD119 heterodimerizes with IFN gamma receptor 2 (AF-1) forming the Class II cytokine receptor. The ligand IFN gamma binds IFN gamma receptor 1 subunit but signal transduction transpires via the IFN gamma receptor 2 subunit. The receptor is involved in host defense and expression is broad including B cells, NK cells, macrophages and dendritic cells as well as other non-hematopoietic cell types.
